Russell Westbrook: “I’m Just Trying To Read The Game, Make The Right Decisions — At Least, Try To. I Don’t Always Make The Right Decisions, But As Long As My Effort Is In The Right Place, I Can Live With The Results.”

Russell Westbrook and the Washington Wizards lost their 4th straight loss at the hands of the Toronto Raptors, who called game thanks to newly-acquired Gary Trent Jr., who is ballin’ right now. The Wizards aren’t having the best moment and they haven’t all season long. This loss is very difficult to bear knowing they had a big chance to win the match but Trent Jr. had different plans.

Russ tried to explain the team’s situation and what he thinks he can improve to help his team. We’re reaching the final stretch of the season and the Wizards don’t look with many opportunities to at least make it to the play-in tournament. The 2017 MVP talked about his adjustments and what’s next for him, saying he’s trying to make the right decision, although that doesn’t always happen.

“(I’m) just trying to read the game, make the right decisions — at least, try to. I don’t always make the right decisions, but as long as my effort is in the right place, I can live with the results.”

This has always been the subject of criticism for Brodie. His decision-making isn’t always the best and that cost him and his teams several wins. This has been a recurrent topic for him during his career and it seems like it’s too late for him to change that.

He’s one of the most athletic players the NBA has ever seen, a very talented man that can do anything he wants on the court, but when it’s time to make the right decision to get the most benefit, Westbrook often makes the wrong one. That is exactly what his team needs if they want to compete, but things haven’t changed for the point guard.
