Clippers star Paul George has been absolutely balling lately, putting together what might be one of the best stretches of his career. So when ESPN decided to display a rather harsh statistic in his latest game, it raised more than a few eyebrows.

Going 6-50 in the clutch is, obviously, a horrible percentage. But the stat was actually debunked by fans on Twitter, who were able to find at least 10 instances of him making game-winning or game-tying shots.

Okay so I can confirm that these are literally made up numbers by "The Worldwide Leaders in Sports" (ESPN)…. pic.twitter.com/HtSovmBZPL

For whatever reason, ESPN displayed the wrong numbers, making it look as if he was worse at performing in the clutch than he actually is.

And while PG is one of the most notoriously hated players in the league, fans have been coming up in drones to defend his reputation.
