The Washington Wizards are off to a dream start this season with a record of 9-3 in the Eastern Conference. There are many reasons behind the sudden turnaround by the franchise, who fans have gotten used to seeing struggle.

But arguably one of the primary reasons for their current record is the arrival of multiple ex-Lakers players, including Kyle Kuzma. Kuz was once touted as a good player in the league, but he slowly buried below the incredible star power that the purple and gold had.

As a result, he was included as part of a trade package that sent Russell Westbrook to the Los Angeles Lakers. This meant that Kuzma will get more minutes than usual and so far he has been using the extra playtime to flaunt his skills.

Well, at least for the most part. It seems like Kuzma has a different definition of “no-look passes.” His teammate Spencer Dinwiddie recently explained what Kuzma does when trying to pull off a no-look pass.

“Sometimes Kuz is throwing, not no-look passes, but look passes. He throws, the dude catches it, then He looks this way. It’s like, ‘That’s not how a no-look pass works, bro.’ But you know, he’s still learning the nuances of that side of things.”

Well, that’s one way to approach the move. Hopefully, Kuzma polishes this skill in the future. Otherwise, we might see him in memes more often than not. Apart from his weird no-look passes, Kuzma is having a stellar season.

He is averaging 15.0 points, 9.2 rebounds, and 1.2 assists per game currently in the 2021-22 NBA season. Certainly better than his numbers last season.

If Kuzma and the Wizards can further continue their blazing form throughout the season, they might be a dark horse candidate in the playoffs. While it seems unlikely that they will win it all this season. But you can never rule a team out in the NBA.

Moreover, apart from a great bench, the Wizards also have an established superstar in Bradley Beal, who is yet to reach his best form this season. Once Beal’s form takes off, it will be exciting to see the ceiling of this newfound Wizards team.
