Jimmy Butler is one of the funniest players in the NBA. Butler regularly makes it a habit to crack jokes and take harmless shots at his fellow teammates, players, and the NBA in general. Butler’s sense of humor is one of the reasons why he is a fan favorite within the NBA.

The Miami Heat brought Butler to the team after his stint in Philadelphia. While Butler had been a high-performing player in teams like Minnesota, Chicago, and even Philly, the Heat felt that his attitude and approach to the game could help them find success, and it paid off with a trip to the Finals his first season.

The biggest issue for Butler has been his lack of supporting cast. Last season, Butler’s teammates were a big issue, as they were not able to step up in his absence, or when he wasn’t having a good game.

This is why the Heat made it a priority to provide Butler with another star. Along with Bam Adebayo, Butler can now rely upon former All-Star and NBA champion Kyle Lowry. He and Lowry had been friends for a few years, so them getting the chance to play together is a good thing for both of them.

But it appears that Jimmy is a very demanding teammate. After the Heat’s statement win over the Milwaukee Bucks, Butler told the press that he hopes Lowry knows his daughter’s birthday is coming, and he wants an expensive gift, worth at least $100,000.

Jimmy Butler post-game about Kyle Lowry:

“I hope that motherfu*ker knows my daughter’s birthday is tomorrow. And she needs a really expensive gift. $100,000 Kyle, I ain’t fu*king around.”

“I hope that motherf*cker knows my daughter’s birthday is tomorrow. And she needs a really expensive gift. $100,000 Kyle, I ain’t f*cking around.”

Clearly, Butler was exercising his wit on Lowry. Their close friendship means that the two can say certain things in jest without hurting each other. Butler is really funny, even going on a foul-mouthed tirade after his agent asked him not to curse during interactions with the press.

While Butler has a sharp sense of humor, there is nothing funny about his game. Butler is one of the elite players in the league. He has been an All-Star on multiple occasions. On top of that, he led the Miami Heat to the 2020 NBA Finals, and put up a 40-point triple-double, joining only LeBron James and Jerry West.
