Andrew Wiggins On 2021-22 Golden State Warriors: “I Definitely Think We’re A Championship-Caliber Team.”

The Golden State Warriors will attempt to compete for another championship during the 2021-22 season while Stephen Curry is still in his prime. Curry is still playing at an MVP level, which was evidenced by his 2020-21 season. The time is now for the Warriors to make a run.

Andrew Wiggins is a player who has faced some controversy over the course of his career, but he has found a solid basketball home with the Golden State Warriors. He had his most efficient season ever in a limited role during the 2020-21 season, averaging 18.6 PPG while shooting 38% from beyond the arc.

It seems as though Andrew Wiggins believes that the Golden State Warriors are a championship-caliber team based on all the pieces that they have on the roster. Wiggins himself will be key as a two-way player, who provides benefits on both ends of the floor.

Wiggins on the 2021-22 Warriors: 'With all the pieces we have, I definitely think we're a championship-caliber team.'

The Golden State Warriors will see Klay Thompson return to the floor at around Christmas time. They’ll play a portion of the season without him, and the whole roster will have to contribute a little extra offensively while he’s out. However, they have some players who are ready for the responsibility, such as guard Jordan Poole, who has had an amazing preseason run.

There is no question that if healthy, the Golden State Warriors can certainly be a dangerous team. They struggled at times offensively last season, but they brought in great veterans such as Nemanja Bjelica and Otto Porter Jr., providing the team with more spacing and shooting. Of course, they still have their original star trio that won the 2015 NBA championship, which is certainly a good foundation for a championship team. If this Golden State Warriors team clicks, they will be a tough team to go against on both ends, and perhaps they’ll end up figuring it out over the course of the season.
