NBA GMs Believe Miami Heat Made The Best Offseason Moves, Pick Kyle Lowry As New Acquisition To Make The Biggest Impact

3 Min Read

One team that hasn’t been talked about a lot going into the new season is the Miami Heat. The Heat made it to the NBA Finals just one season ago, and have bolstered their squad significantly going into the new year.

The Heat made a lot of moves during the offseason. They acquired Kyle Lowry, Markieff Morris, and PJ Tucker entering the new season while retaining key players like Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo.

All 3 players they signed have recent championship experience. Lowry was crucial to the Toronto Raptors 2019 NBA championship run. As for Markieff Morris, he played a role during the Los Angeles Lakers 2020 NBA championship run in the Orlando bubble.

Tucker is coming off his best postseason, winning an NBA championship with the Milwaukee Bucks. Tucker’s defense, especially on Kevin Durant during the Bucks’ second-round series against the Brooklyn Nets.

The Heat have massively upgraded their roster from last season and will be looking to improve their performance from last season. There are high expectations from the Heat this year, mostly because of how good the moves they’ve made are.

In fact, most GMs in the NBA believe the Heat have made the best moves in the offseason. In a recent survey conducted with all the GMs in the NBA, the Heat got the most votes for best offseason moves. On top of that, Kyle Lowry got the most votes for a new acquisition that will have the biggest impact on the team.

The Heat have a lot of expectations on them for next season. In fact, in the same survey, Erik Spoelstra was voted the best head coach in the NBA. So they have no excuses not to perform well this year.

The Heat are, in the eyes of many, sleeper contenders for the NBA championship. While they are by no means the best team in the NBA or even their conference, they have the potential to cause upsets in the playoffs and reach the NBA Finals once again.
