As a seasoned NBA veteran and superstar, LeBron James certainly knows the value of having a great shoe. LeBron James is signed with Nike, and it seems as though he will be releasing a new colorway for an iconic shoe in the near future.

Complex Sneakers has recently revealed that LeBron James will be dropping a new colorway for the Air Force 1s, a widely popular shoe among the sneaker community. His new colorway for the Air Force 1 will be titled “Strive for Greatness” which is one of the slogans that people associate with the Los Angeles Lakers star. Brandon Richard of Sole Collector provided some more information on the new release.

The ‘Strive For Greatness’ colorway neutral tones such as tan and sail together on the upper, including a checkered print that wraps the heel. Black boldly adds contrast along the Swooshes, tongue label, and heel tab, the latter two bearing bright blue logo hits. Leather and faux fur share the interior of the shoe and a sail outsole caps off the look below.

James has had special make-ups of the Air Force 1 Low, both released and exclusive, since entering the NBA in 2003. Though not yet officially announced, his latest pair is expected to release in the very near future.

The pair will have a price tag of $130 to start, and this release will certainly be great for lovers of casual footwear, as well as NBA fans who want to own a shoe designed by LeBron James.

The exact date of the release is uncertain as of now, but it definitely seems as though there is some hype about the upcoming release. As Richard mentions, this isn’t the first time LeBron James has made “special make-ups” of Air Force 1s, and it is likely that these shoes will be highly coveted by many fans just like prior releases.
