Former Timberwolves President Gersson Rosas Reportedly Had An “Inappropriate Relationship” Inside The Timberwolves’ Organization

Just a few weeks ago, the biggest story in Minnesota was their ongoing pursuit of Ben Simmons, who remains a Sixers with less than a week before training camp.

But with the news that former team President Gersson Rosas was fired on Wednesday, the details behind how things have been running behind the scenes have become the newest scandal.

There has been a building discord between Rosas, the rest of the front office and the organization that has been going on for months, sources said. The team decided to take action now before the season begins instead of letting that discord linger.

So while this may seem like a surprise, this has been building internally with the Wolves for a while.

In the hours that have followed that report, the volatility of the situation in Minnesota has really come to light, especially with the news that Rosas was reportedly having an “inappropriate relationship” inside the team.

The Minnesota Timberwolves turned heads Wednesday when they announced they had parted ways with president of basketball operations Gersson Rosas, and the decision was reportedly made because of an “inappropriate relationship” within the organization and a toxic culture.

According to Mike Max of CBS Minnesota, Rosas allegedly created a toxic workplace culture in addition to that relationship.

“People inside the organization have been put off by him at times, and the latest issue to surface was seemingly the final straw,” Max wrote. “One other employee of the team also left abruptly Wednesday.”

The Timberwolves have always struggled to find success in the past, and most have already been blaming the front office for that.

But nobody had a clue just how bad things have been.

The hope is that with new management and some time to get it right, the Timberwolves can finally start to turn things around and develop a culture that everyone wants to be a part of.

They obviously have a lot of work to do, but firing the guy who may have been the biggest source of their problems is certainly a good place to start.
