Kyle Lowry will begin a new chapter in his career next season. After a very successful stint with the Toronto Raptors, where he became an All-Star and an NBA champion, Lowry cashed in on his value and signed the last big contract.

Lowry will play for the Miami Heat next season, alongside Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo, as the franchise looks to re-emerge as a threat in the Eastern Conference. Lowry will be asked to coordinate the attack for the Heat.

Aside from Lowry’s offensive contribution, he is one of the best hustle players in the NBA. Lowry gives it his all regardless of the occasion.

Whether it be on the offensive end of the court, or the defensive end of the court, Lowry brings his combination of energy and skill to the game every single time.

So, it should come as no surprise that he would do the same even during a practice session. In an Instagram Live session last year, former teammates DeMar DeRozan and Fred VanVleet shared a story about Kyle Lowry and a Raptors practice session.

The Raptors were in Los Angeles, practicing at the UCLA facility. During the session, then-Raptors coach Dwane Casey asked Lowry to step off the court and stop practicing.

In an act of defiance, Lowry sat down in the middle of the court with his legs crossed and refused to stop practicing. He said that if he could not practice, then neither could the rest of the team.

“If I ain’t practicing, ain’t nobody practicing,”

Lowry has been one of the most underrated guards in the NBA for quite some time now. Despite becoming an NBA champion in the last few seasons, Lowry’s contributions to the Raptors had gone under the radar, especially with players DeMar DeRozan, Kawhi Leonard, and Pascal Siakam becoming more prominent stars.

Now that he is with the Heat, he will have a bigger spotlight on him, where he will hope to shine.
