Fans Speculate After James Harden And Victor Oladipo Hang Out In Houston

3 Min Read

The NBA rumor mill never stops, especially in the offseason.

Countless players, and almost every team, eventually falls victim to fan and media speculation, and all for various reasons. Sometimes, all it takes is a series of photos for rumors to start flying.

For NBA All-Stars James Harden and Victor Oladipo, they’re finding that out first-hand after Oladipo posted a picture of the two of them hanging out at his restaurant in Houston.

Fans were quick to flood the comments with their own assessment of the situation — however ridiculous it was.

There is no indication that Harden and Dipo will be teammates in the near future, but it is true that their careers crossed paths.

Oladipo was a key piece in the four-team swap that sent The Beard to Brooklyn, so they will forever be linked.

It is interesting that Harden is back in Houston though, even if it’s just for a visit to his restaurant. With the way things ended there, one would think there would be some animosity there.

Still, Harden did say that the city will always be something special to him.

“Houston will always hold a special place in my heart. I spent the last nine years there. On the court, it was what it was. I was disappointed in myself that I couldn’t bring a championship there because that’s what I put the jersey on for every single game. But the community work really lets me see the impact I can have on the city. We’ve been through some tough times with [Hurricane Harvey] and all types of things. And just being able to come back now and be there for people and support them, I’m going to do that as long as I can,” Harden said.

As for Oladipo, his future looks murky right now. Following a string of injuries, he has yet to return to the All-Star level player we saw in Indiana.

And while his short time in Miami has not come with very much success so far, he’s going to be there for at least one more season.

So, despite whatever the fans have to say on the subject, it’s unlikely that Dipo ever joins the Beard in Brooklyn. It’s not like they need the help anyway.
