ESPN Reportedly Interested In Draymond Green Joining The Network For A Show

Draymond Green is one of the biggest personalities in the NBA. He is a passionate player on the court and he is often viewed as the heart and soul of the Golden State Warriors. He is a charismatic person, and of course, that has meant that he is natural at being on TV. We’ve seen Draymond Green appear on TNT before, and his knowledge of the game is certainly great to give regular fans a deeper insight into what’s happening on the court.

It appears as though Draymond Green could have some further opportunities on TV. Per Andrew Marchand of the New York Post, ESPN are interested in Draymond Green joining a potential show, though his availability would be limited because he is an active player.

Nothing is finalized, so it hasn’t been determined whether the potential show would have a traditional host.

In the wake of Maria Taylor and Rachel Nichols’ departures, Jalen Rose, Jay Williams and Adrian Wojnarowski are the “Countdown” incumbents, while Richard Jefferson, Kendrick Perkins and Chiney Ogwumike would figure to be candidates to join the show.

ESPN also has interest in Draymond Green, but, as an active player, the Warriors forward would only be available on occasion.

Green has done work for TNT.

Seeing Draymond Green on ESPN would certainly be something different, and perhaps he could bring in a different touch to the network. ESPN employs a decent amount of former players, such as Richard Jefferson, Kendrick Perkins, and Tracy McGrady. Perhaps Draymond Green can join them in being part of the network, even if it is only from time to time. Draymond Green obviously still has quite some time left in the NBA, but perhaps it could be good for him to potentially join a show on ESPN, as he has shown an aptitude for being on TV in the past.
