LeBron James is now the longest-tenured player on the Los Angeles Lakers and the Los Angeles Clippers. The King took his talent after signing with the purple and gold in the summer of 2018.

The Lakers traded their young core one year later but still kept pieces from past seasons. Now that they made a major roster overhaul, LeBron James is the oldest Lakers member on the current roster.

On the other hand, after Patrick Beverley was traded to the Memphis Grizzlies, James is the longest-tenure player on both squads. Redditor “ehddwjkl” pointed out that LeBron gets this honor on both Los Angelenos teams.

After the Pat Bev trade yesterday, both LA teams do not have a player that is part of their 2017-18 roster. The longest-tenured player on the LA teams is LeBron James who joined the Lakers just 3 years ago.

The Lakers longest-tenured player is LeBron James, acquired via 2018 free agency, has played three full seasons for the Lakers.

With the Pat Bev trade, the Clippers longest-tenured player is Ivica Zubac, which they acquired from the Lakers during the 2018-19 season.

The 2 LA teams now do not have a player on their current roster that is part of their 2017-18 roster (slightly over 3 years ago). Interesting fact, not just the Lakers but now also the Clippers.

Bron is set to hold this ‘record’ for more seasons, as he’s expected to last more years with the Lakers. The battle of Los Angeles will be exciting to watch in the upcoming years, with The King trying to lead his team against Kawhi Leonard, Paul George, and co.
