Skip Bayless Says Kawhi Leonard Can Join LeBron James And Anthony Davis On Lakers

After his second season with the Los Angeles Clippers, Kawhi Leonard might be on the move again if recent rumors become true. The 2x NBA champion couldn’t help his team get past the Phoenix Suns in the 2021 Western Conference Finals due to a knee injury, and now his future looks uncertain.

The Clippers will face two big decisions this summer regarding their two best players, Kawhi and Paul George. The former must make a decision on his future to either stay or leave the Clips. Fans and analysts started speculating what would happen with the player, as some teams already placed their attention on the Klaw.

Furthermore, Skip Bayless made a bold prediction on Leonard’s future, putting the forward on city rivals Los Angeles Lakers (2:16).

“I’m serious when I say this, if I suddenly heard that Kawhi had joined the Lakers, I would not be shocked by that. Because, I know I was shocked when he didn’t join the Lakers. (…) We got shook up when this bombshell dropped. I’ll never forget opening up one of the websites and I saw Kawhi in a Clippers jersey.”

As Skip said, Kawhi was very close to joining the Lakers two years ago. The Clippers pulled off a big move, landing him and Paul George to create a new duo in the league. That signing changed the landscape of the league, putting the Clippers as title contenders.

Although they couldn’t do the job during Leonard’s first two seasons with the teams, they made a really good impression this campaign, reaching the WCF and taking the Phoenix Suns to six games.

A couple of months ago, there was no doubt that Leonard would stay with the Clippers, but things have changed since that moment. We’re up for an entertaining offseason where even the Dallas Mavericks are linked with the 2x NBA champion.
