Paul George and his Los Angeles Clippers made a statement on Monday night, taking care of business against the Phoenix Suns, stealing Game 5 of the Western Conference Finals.

The Clips won their second game of the series, forcing Game 6 at home, trying to take this duel to the last game. The veteran swingman was on a mission, stepping up for his team even after the night didn’t start well for him. In the end, the Clippers got a 116-102 win over the Suns to keep their season alive.

Playoffs P showed up once again, dropping 41 points on 15-20 from the field, going 8-8 at the free-throw line. It was a great night for the player, who sent a big message to the Suns. The Clippers aren’t an easy rival, and when they’re backs at on the wall, they’ll fight even harder.

“If they were going to finish this series off, they were going to have to work for it,” George said, via ABC News. “That was just the mentality we came into this with. We weren’t going to back down. We weren’t going to just throw in the towel. The fact of the matter is, they got to beat us.”

The Clippers were off to a hot start, taking a 13-point lead in the 1st quarter. Although the Suns fought back and made the game more interesting, Ty Lue’s team couldn’t lose this match. Marcus Morris and Reggie Jackson supported PG with their performances, giving a huge and much-needed W to the Clippers.

This series isn’t over, and now the Clips go back home to try to force Game 7, even without Kawhi Leonard on the court.
