There have been a lot of changes with the Dallas Mavericks ahead of the next season. GM Donnie Nelson and head coach Rick Carlisle have parted ways with the organization, despite their longtime tenure there. It is clear that changes needed to happen after two consecutive first-round losses for the organization and Luka Doncic.
Despite the fact that coach Rick Carlisle has left the organization, he has quickly landed a new coaching job with the Indiana Pacers. He will be coaching All-Star Domantas Sabonis among other talents such as Malcolm Brogdon and Caris LeVert. Ahead of his new opportunity, Rick Carlisle spoke out on Luka Doncic and says that he viewed him as the best young player in the world.

There is no question that Luka Doncic has a bright future ahead of him, and that he will be one of the superstars in the league for years to come. While some may have assumed that Carlisle would feel a certain way about the Mavericks, there seems to be no bad blood in the wake of his amicable exit. Hopefully, Luka Doncic is able to achieve some of the things Carlisle predicted, and cement his place among the top-tier players in the NBA.
