Chris Bosh picked the Brooklyn Nets’ Big 3 to beat his Miami Heat’s incredible trio with LeBron James and Dwyane Wade. The former big man recently talked about a hypothetical match between these two trios, siding with the Nets.
Talking about his new book, “Letters to a Young Athlete,” on the fubo Sports Network, Bosh was asked who would win in a match between these trios of players.
For the Toronto Raptors, Miami Heat icon, the Nets’ Big 3 would beat him and his two good friends.
“I’m gonna give the nod to them,” Bosh said on Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving and James Harden. “I could score pretty good, and I’ll go out there and compete, but you know, they can do things I’ve never seen.”
“In a 3-on-3 game, it’s just about what could happen. These guys could just make all jumpers. … I mean all three of them have that ability to be like that’s not fair.”
Something these trios have in common is that they fell short in their first season together. The Heat couldn’t get past the Dirk Nowitzki-led Dallas Mavericks in the 2011 Finals and the Nets were eliminated by the Milwaukee Bucks in the second round of the 2021 playoffs.
Still, when Durant, Irving, and Harden were healthy, they were a menace for the rest of the league. Before the guards went down with injuries, the Nets were considered the biggest favorites to win it all this season.
Well, this proves that winning in the NBA is harder than people think. That, however, doesn’t change Bosh’s mind. He would still pick the Nets’ Big 3 over the Heat one that went to four straight NBA Finals and won two titles.
