Ben Simmons can’t catch a break after his bad performances in the Eastern Conference semifinals. The Australian player failed to deliver when his team needed him the most, resulting in a painful elimination for the Philadelphia 76ers.
After the series was over, he earned a lot of criticism, and NBA fans aren’t done with the 24-year-old point guard. In the wake of the elimination at the hands of the Atlanta Hawks, trolls brought up one video of the player missing a shot with a huge basketball on Jimmy Kimmel Live.
Ben missed the shot but scored with the putback, sparking many reactions around the NBA community. That is precisely what he does now that his shooting struggles have gone worse.

NBA fans are ruthless most of the time and more when a player who vows to get better at one aspect of his game doesn’t deliver. We’ve seen Paul George getting the same treatment in prior seasons, but PG13 recovered this campaign, leading the Clippers to the Western Conference Finals.
Simmons is still young. He still has things to work on to become that dangerous player that destroys teams on a nightly basis. He went from shooting jumpers consistently in his first season to not even tried in his fourth year.
Some things need to change for the LSU product if he wants to get that revenge in the league. Recent rumors suggest he could start shooting with a different hand or get traded out of Philly if things don’t improve. Time will tell how this situation develops.
