Skip Bayless was one of those Clippers fans disappointed to see their team miss a big chance to take the lead in their first-round series against the Dallas Mavericks. Luka Doncic and co. landed in the Staples Center ready to make a statement after losing the past two games at home.
It was a hard-fought game, but the Clippers lost control of it during critical moments. They fought until the end, but their own mistakes cost them the 3-2 lead in the series.
Skip took to Twitter to advise the Clips, saying they’d need John Wick to stop Boban Marjanovic, who finished the night with nine points and seven rebounds. In case you don’t know, Boban appears on John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum as an antagonist.
Clippers need John Wick to deal with Boban.

What followed was a series of tweets of Skip just going off on the Clips, blasting Kawhi Leonard, Paul George, and Rajon Rondo’s performances.
This is classic Are We There Yet? Clippers make a three, jump ahead, and think, "Is that enough?" NO. Then they turn it over three or four straight times and now they're in trouble again. Just so hard to watch. So sloppy. So uninspired. No killer instinct.

Rondo: AIR BALL. Clippers are just about done.

The Clippers earned a reprieve in Dallas. Now they have lost Game 5, their third straight home loss in this series. I do not believe they can win a third straight at Dallas. Hence: elimination. They had their chance tonight. They gagged.

GET KAWHI LEONARD OUT OF THERE. SERIOUSLY. HE'S AN OUT-OF-CONTROL DISASTER. MISSING SHOT AFTER SHOT IS ONE THING. JUST GIVING THE BALL AWAY AGAIN AND AGAIN IS UNACCEPTABLE.

He even called Kawhi and Paul ‘the die-namic’ duo after failing to make the shots to secure a comfortable win at home.
Kawhi Leonard and Paul George: The Die-namic Duo. Double Jeopardy. Two too many. Chokers, both.

They had a good chance to take the lead of the game with 15 seconds on the clock, but Terrence Mann and Nicolas Batum couldn’t make the play. This was another reason for Skip to go off on his team, calling the Frenchman out for missing such a big opportunity.
Nicolas Batum misses the game winner after Terrence Mann had the steal of the day!! I’m going to be Clippers sick to my Luka stomach pic.twitter.com/topc10bqZm

I wish the Clippers had lost this game by 50 so it wouldn't be so excruciating. They actually had their chances. Kawhi and George Paul shot them in the foot.

OH, MY GOD. THE CLIPPERS HAD ONE LAST PRAYER OF A CHANCE AND BATUM COULDN'T FINISH AT THE RIM. JUST RIPPING MY GUTS OUT.
— Skip Bayless (@RealSkipBayless) June 3, 2021
Kawhi Leonard had the last chance to tie the game with a corner 3. But, unfortunately, he air-balled that shot, putting the final nail in the Clippers’ coffin.
Fitting finish: Kawhi air ball. And Rondo letting him know a out it.

The Clippers had every opportunity to win that game and take control of this series. And they upchucked again and again and again. So many inexplicably careless turnovers. So many missed open shots. So little backbone. They are done.

Bayless had enough and charged against the Klaw and PG13 again. The Clippers played aggressively in Dallas, winning two games as visitors. However, things changed once they returned to Los Angeles.
The guest team has taken the W in all five games of this series. Los Angeles will try to keep that trend in Game 6 to force the win-or-go-home match at Staples Center.
