Charles Barkley is everyone’s favorite NBA broadcaster — and for good reason. His natural humor and interesting personality help to make him an enormously entertaining person to watch.

Usually, though, his “predictions” and takes are outlandish, and he often gets clowned for some of his more controversial opinions.

But this season, Chuck was right about one thing: the fate of the Hawks and Wizards as playoff teams.

Here’s what he had to say about the teams back in December:

“The Hawks and the Wizards are going to make the playoffs, guaranteed,” Barkley said Tuesday before the NBA season began with a primetime matchup between the Brooklyn Nets and Golden State Warriors.

As we know, the Hawks are already in the postseason, having locked up the 5 seed days ago. They’re set to face off against the Knicks in round one.

As for the Wizards, they’re not quite there yet. But they are in the play-in, and have a chance to secure the 8th seed by the end of the week.

So, while Charles might not have the best track record of predictions, he wasn’t far of fon this one.

As for what we can expect from the Hawks and Wizards going forward, that much is still up in the air.
