Kyrie Irving showed up to his media availability ready to eat on Saturday night. The Brooklyn Nets superstar plays one of the most physical and exhausting sports globally and needs to eat properly.

But, things are more difficult for Kyrie. He’s currently observing Ramadhan and whenever he stops playing, he needs to make it up for all the hours he spent fasting.

This time, he did what other players in the past and took his food to the media availability. Kyrie listened to questions while eating but apologized to reporters for eating in front of them.

“Excuse me, I’m very hungry. Just played in an NBA game,” Irving said.

Being an NBA player is anything but easy. You need to recover the energy you put into winning games, and Kyrie, being a fierce competitor, knows what that’s all about.

Fortunately for him, he ate after his team beat the Denver Nuggets on Friday night, ending a 4-game losing streak in front of MVP candidate Nikola Jokic and the talented Nuggets team.

The Nets are still fighting to get the No. 1 seed in the East, but they need to step up and stop losing so many games.

They are considered favorites to win it all this season, but they need to work some things out and have their point guard, James Harden, back.
