LeBron James could be making his return to the court pretty soon to help the Los Angeles Lakers make that last push to enter the 2021 NBA postseason.

The King re-injured his ankle after playing just two games following a 20-match absence with the purple and gold. The Lakers have apparently found their touch again, led by Anthony Davis, but this is excellent news for them, as well.

Shams Charania of The Athletic reports that the 36-year-old targets a return this Tuesday when the Lakers face the New York Knicks. This duel won’t be easy for the Californians, especially knowing that the New Yorkers beat their city rivals Clippers in their last outing.

This is all the Lakers fans wanted to hear and it seems like their wish is about to get granted. They need to get away from play-in tournament spots and having LeBron on the court will give them a bigger chance to achieve their goal.

The 4x NBA champion knows the situation is very sensitive for the Lakers and he’s working on getting back on the court to help the squad. Right now, they rank 7th in the Western Conference, which would make them play against the 8th seed, the Warriors.

This campaign has been full of changes for the Lakers and not even LeBron has been safe from this.
