Silver Screen and Roll

The 2021 NBA season has been full of surprises. From Nikola Jokic’s amazing MVP performance to the rise of the Suns, Jazz, and Knicks, things have really grown rather unpredictable at this point in the season.

So when fans were tasked with picking a favorite to hoist that Larry O’Brien trophy, it’s understandable that they were split.

Naturally, the Lakers are a big contender considering they’re the defending Champs. But with injury concerns surrounding LeBron James and Anthony Davis, are they going to be healthy enough to pull it off?

In the East, much of the same concerns can be said for the Nets, who have Kyrie Irving, James Harden, and Kevin Durant. All three of them have missed time this season and, for as much talent as they have, the team hasn’t necessarily had time to develop chemistry with each other.

So, that leaves the Jazz, Suns, Bucks, Clippers, Sixers, and even the Blazers as potential title threats.

For the first time in years, there might be no clear favorite to win it all.

And while some fans will have mixed opinions on that, it remains to be seen how everything will play out in the postseason, especially considering how much the play-in tournament could shake things up.
