Keeping It Real Sports

32-year-old Derrick Rose has had plenty of show-stopping moments over his 11-year career. As a 3x All-Star, 1x All-NBA player, and 2011 MVP, it’s clear that the guy has had a successful NBA tenure, even despite his troubling injury history.

Perhaps his greatest moment came during 2015, when he nailed a game-winning, buzzer-beating three to secure a playoff victory against the Cleveland Cavaliers.

With today (May 8th) being the six-year anniversary of that moment, fans on Twitter took a look back, re-living the iconic scene.

Whether you were a Bulls fan or not, it was a truly epic moment for spectators.

Sadly, that season would end up being one of Rose’s final with the Bulls. After a lot of early success with the team, when he became the youngest MVP in league history, injuries hindered what he was able to do, and robbed him of a large chunk of his final chapter in Chicago.

This moment was like a return to old for fans, and came against a LeBron-led team that was supposed to be crushing the East.

In the end, the Bulls did end up losing that series, and things haven’t quite been the same since.

Both Rose and the Bulls have moved on now, but it’s still fun to look back and reflect on what he was able to do during his peak.
