Knicks Fans Call Out Richard Jefferson For Commentary During Live Broadcast

Former NBA player Richard Jefferson made some enemies on Friday night while commenting on the Dallas Mavericks-New York Knicks on ESPN. The New Yorkers fan knew they could have a long night ahead and as the minutes passed, they only confirmed that.

Jefferson has earned a reputation among Knicks fans, who really don’t like to listen to him and Friday was another demonstration of why. The 2016 NBA champion was criticized for the jokes he made about the team, his praise for the Mavericks even when the visitors were winning the game by double digits and the fact that he barely gave any flowers to the Knicks players, which pissed a lot of people off.

The fans took to Twitter to call out the analyst and his comments, saying they missed the Knicks’ broadcasting team of Mike Breen and Walt Frazier while taking big shots at the ESPN talent.

I would love if Richard Jefferson would shut the fuck up for literally 5 seconds of the broadcast.

Richard Jefferson's Broadcasting 101:

1) If the Knicks do anything good, assume it only happened because of a fluke/violation

2) If the Mavs miss a shot, a Knick obviously blatantly fouled the guy

RJ has been known for being an entertaining commentator, either if he’s trolling teams or making the case for somebody to get recognition. Well, his rivalry with the Knicks is something that won’t end in the near future and fans don’t miss their chance to blast him, especially when he’s calling the team’s games.
