Meek Mill Reveals He Has Apologized To Vanessa Bryant: “I Apologized To Her In Private Earlier…”

1 Min Read

Following the release of his latest track, “Don’t Worry (RIP Kobe),” Meek Mill got flamed on social media for one particularly insensitive lyric that referenced the helicopter crash.

Vanessa Bryant herself eventually got wind of it, and called out Meek in a post on Instagram.

Following increasing levels of hostility, Meek announced on Twitter that he apologized to Vanessa and the rest of the Bryant family.

I apologized to her in private earlier today not to the public…Nothing I say on my page directed to a internet viral moment or the family of a grieving woman! If you care about someone grieving change the subject!

All-in-all, Meek definitely made a mistake by adding that line to his track. Whenever you involve someone who died, there has to be a certain level of sensitivity.

Needless to say, Meek could have handled things better — but it’s good to know that he apologized, at least.

Hopefully, that’s enough for the Bryant family to find some peace with the situation.
