CJ McCollum Clarifies Comments On LeBron James’ Airball: “It’d Be The Same If Dame Was To Shoot An Airball, I’d Be Like ‘Logo Dame.'”

CJ McCollum was recently under fire after he mocked LeBron James during a recent Lakers game. The King attempted a 3-pointer from the logo and he air-balled, which sparked a lot of reactions from fans. The Portland Trail Blazers star was part of those people who joked about the miss and he took to Twitter to troll the 4x NBA champion.

LeBron isn’t new at trying and making three-pointers from the logo but this time his shot was short of power and couldn’t get to the rim. Everybody laughed about it and McCollum wasn’t the exception but a lot of people believed he was hating on Bron.

The player had the chance to clarify his comments and he made it clear he wasn’t throwing shade at LeBron whatsoever, and if that happened to any other player, like his teammate Damian Lillard, he would have the same reaction (1:13 mark).

“I know Bron, so it’s different. When people see me make jokes and stuff, they’re on the outside watching. These are all things I’d say to him because I’ve known him since I was 13 years old. It wasn’t like hating. It’d be the same if Dame was to shoot an airball, I’d be like logo Dame. But I love how he held it up.”

Lillard took the logo shots to the next level last season, making them whenever he felt like it, and even when rivals were to double-team him, he didn’t hesitate to shoot those shots. Stephen Curry started the trend and some of the biggest names in the game have followed the Golden State Warriors superstar.

As we saw with LeBron, though, sometimes you’re going to miss and a lot of people will make fun of you.
