Stephen Curry made history Tuesday night even though it was a bittersweet evening for him. He reached 17,000 points in the NBA, joining a very exclusive list for a Warriors player. His team couldn’t get the win against the Boston Celtics but Curry had something to celebrate.

He became only the second player to reach that number in his career with the Golden State Warriors, emulating what Wilt Chamberlain did in the past.

Now up to 32 on the night, Steph Curry has surpassed 17,000 PTS for his career!

This new accolade earned him a lot of praise around the league and his head coach had great words to say about Curry’s work. He claimed Curry is the greatest Warrior of all-time after the Dub reached the impressive milestone.

“If you ask me he’s the best Warrior of all time… I just know we’re damn lucky to have him. He’s amazing,” Kerr said after the game was over.

The Celtics beat the Warriors, 111-107, as visitors, ruining Curry’s night. The point guard finished the game with 38 points, 11 rebounds and 8 assists. He has been great this season but the Warriors still have work to do if they want to be a competitive team in the West.

Kerr knows he has a great player in Steph but that won’t be enough to take the Warriors back to where they were from 2015 through 2019. Meanwhile, Curry is trying to carry his team with everything he can but that is a hard job to carry out.
