LeBron James and Giannis Antetokounmpo are two of the NBA’s most dominant players. One, the reigning NBA Champion and Finals MVP, the other the reigning Defensive Player of the Year and two-time league MVP, are obviously some of the best basketball has to offer.

So when both players saw a (slight) rating dip in NBA 2K’s newest update, it raised more than a few eyebrows.

Considering both Giannis and LeBron are both in the early MVP conversation, it seems kind of ridiculous to lower their rating. On the flip side, however, it doesn’t mean they’ve been playing up to expectations.

In the comments, fans expressed all kinds of different feelings and comments on the whole thing…

Why is the Greatest basketball player to ever play the game is going down from 98 to 97 ?

Bron should still be a 98 look where he led his team

— LockNation_YT (@BlixYaz) January 21, 2021

So a week ago people were saying he’s the MVP and one of the best defenders in the league and after one bad game he goes down lmao. You’ve been waiting forever for this. Also why isn’t KD higher yet

Both Bron and Giannis are coming off pretty poor performances, but it doesn’t seem to be stopping the fans from throwing criticism at 2K.

When it comes to the most elite, throwing some shade their way always comes with consequences.

More interesting, however, is waiting to see whether or not they are able to raise their number again before the end of the season.
