Facing a lot of uncertainty about his future, Giannis Antetokounmp continues to get bombarded with questions about his plans in free agency.

The 2x MVP has not yet signed a max extension with the Bucks, only intensifying doubts he will stay.

But for what it’s worth, he did express love and appreciation towards his current team and the city of Milwaukee recently, denying to give in to reporters who want the latest scoop on his plans.

(via ESPN’s Malika Andrews)

“I think about everything. I think about Milwaukee. I think about my teammates. I think about my family. I think about what’s the best decision for me. That’s pretty much it. And after that I realize I’ve gotten so far because I focused on how I can improve every single day. You know I love the city of Milwaukee. I love the organization. I love my family to death. I love winning. At the end of the day I wouldn’t be in this situation if I wasn’t working hard, if I wasn’t winning games, if I wasn’t improving. Every single day if I didn’t have this mentality…I can’t change who I am. I cannot change this mentality. And I’m going to focus on improving. And day by day everything is going to take care of itself.”

Since he was drafted in 2013, Giannis has always preached loyalty to his team, highlighting the fact that he wasn’t a “ring chaser” like the others. That mentality, coupled with his love for the city, should be great news for Bucks fans.

And while it remains to be seen what he will do in the summer, winning in the 2021 playoffs is the best way to ensure they keep their star player for the next few years to come.
