LeBron James has big plans for his future with Nike and they are huge, to be honest. The King has done almost everything during his NBA career but he wants to take things to the next level and start a new venture that hasn’t been easy for many people.

After Stephen Curry launched his own brand, everybody is wondering who’s next. Well, that could be LeBron James and the King has made it clear that he wants to give it a try to his own brand and has already identified his first signee.

On the latest episode of Road Trippin’, James joined former teammate Richard Jefferson and Allie Clifton, Bron revealed his intentions to create his brand called ‘Team LeBron’ and he actually thought of Luka Doncic as its first signee. He initially praised Doncic for his game and all the good things he did in the NBA last season.

“Luka is one of my favorite players in the NBA today. For the simple fact of, the way I play the game is exactly how I love the way he plays the game.”

Moreover, he talked about Steph Curry and his brand, revealing that he’s ready to do something similar under Nike, just like Michael Jordan did back in the day.

“I wanted to begin Team LeBron and have Luka as my first signing with Nike. This is what I wanted, and I don’t believe my guys at Nike were ready for that. Obviously, they were not, because he ended up going to Jordan.

“That’s how much I believe in him, and I feel like it’s going to haunt me a little bit. But I wanted him to be my guy, I wanted him to be my first guy because I just love what he stands for. I love everything about him, both on the court and off the court. He’s just a great guy.”

That would have been awesome for James, but right now Luka is part of the Jordan Brand. Perhaps the King will wait for his opportunity and lure Doncic to Team LeBron. As for right now, nothing is certain for the King. After 18 signature shoes, one would imagine it’s time for him to get his own brand.
