LeBron James’ name will always be attached to Jason Terry’s career, for good or bad. The former guard lived both sweet and very bad moments against the King that marked his career. It is crazy, but Terry’s best and worst play in his career happened against James.

The bad one took place in 2013 when the Boston Celtics were taking on the Miami Heat during a regular-season game. The Heat stole the ball when the Celtics were getting ready to attack, only Terry was left behind against three Heat players. Norris Cole set up LeBron James for the dunk and the King didn’t miss his chance, catching Terry’s body in one of the most spectacular dunks the league has seen in a long time.

The retired sharpshooter had the chance to talk about that infamous play during a 2018 edition of ESPN’s ‘The Jump.’ Terry revealed that that memory still haunts him to this day, with little kids even mocking him for being the victim of that huge dunk (1:35 mark).

“Every time I go, I’m in arenas or go to the grocery store, little kids coming up to me, ‘Ay, Ay, aren’t you Jason Terry?’ Yeah, yeah, that’s me. ‘Why did Lebron dunk on you like that?'”

That was seen as LeBron’s revenge on Terry, who made the best shot of his career against James two years before. During Game 5 of the 2011 Finals, Terry made a clutch 3-pointer over LeBron to give the Dallas Mavericks a huge victory over the Heat. The Mavs would win the next game to win the NBA championship after a magical playoffs run.

Well, LeBron had his revenge on Terry but that dunk didn’t mean a championship for his team. The 43-year-player is still getting jokes about that play and that doesn’t seem to be changing in the future.
