Nick Young wasn’t safe from controversies during his time in the NBA and now that he’s not in the league, things haven’t changed a bit. The swingman has been very outspoken throughout his career and sometimes, that caused him some trouble. He recently gave his take about why Michael Jordan shouldn’t be considered the GOAT and the NBA community went after him for making such a bold claim.
Young took to Twitter to say that it was good that LeBron was facing a team without any superstars in the Miami Heat. He said Jordan never did in his career, only facing an old Magic Johnson to beat his first ring in 1991.
“To me MJ never went up against a super star besides a older magic in the finals he’s played against stars this the first time ever bron playing against a non super star team in the finals … what I mean by super stars is Kd curry Duncan ppl that are top 3 in they position ever,” he tweeted.

That didn’t please anybody and his tweet was flooded with replies from people who disagree with that statement. Everybody remembered all the greats that went against MJ in the Finals and didn’t stand a chance against him, losing the chance to win a ring.

Put down whatever you smoking, brush your teeth and go night night. Karl malone, barkley, stockton are all in the HOF. There was no superstar when they played dallas since dirk was not top 3 in his position. pic.twitter.com/XQDWPBHswW

Magic Johnson, Clyde Drexler, John Stockton, Gary Payton, Charles Barkley, Shawn Kemp and Karl Malone would all like a word.
Then, if you are taking pre-finals, it's worth mentioning Mark Price, Patrick Ewing, Reggie Miller, Penny Hardaway, Shaquille O'Neal, etc.

Yeah, Stockton and Malone were terrible. 😂

Drexler, Barkley, Stockton, Malone and Gary Payton. You still have time to delete this Nick.

You're right he only faced Gary Payton (top 10 PG), Clyde Drexler (top 10 SG), Magic Johnson (best PG), James Worthy (top 15 SF), Charles Barkley (top 3 PF), Karl Malone (top 3 PF), and John Stockton (top 3 PG) in the finals that's easy as hell.

Magic won MVP in 90, the year before MJ beat him. Malone won MVP in 97. Stockton HOF. Payton HOF. Clyde HOF. Chuck HOF.
You literally just made up a definition of a “superstar”.
LeBron stans really will say anything to prove their ridiculous cases.

Swaggy P really wanted that smoke; LeBron is indeed facing a without a superstar this year, but he could make his point in a different way.
