Delonte West’s history is just discouraging and sad. He was a solid role player in the NBA and earned a lot of money throughout his career but has fallen off a cliff due to struggles with mental health and substance abuse.
The former Boston Celtics player was reportedly spotted again homeless and asking for some change in North Dallas, as Twitter user @CallTcooks posted:

You can see West holding a carboard in his hand and noticeably skinny, wandering around the streets of Northern Dallas, once again calling the attention of the NBA community.
It’s not the first time West has been spotted in these kinds of situations. The NBA Players’ Association has reportedly reached out to help him but he’s struggling with bipolar disorder and there’s only so much they can do at this point.

West was infamous around the league for the alleged affair he had with LeBron James’ mother when they were teammates in the Cleveland Cavaliers, a story that was never actually confirmed by neither party.
Needless to say, he was the victim of countless memes and jokes for that story and up to this day, people still bring that subject up or call him out for losing all his money when he’s clearly not ok.
Hopefully, West will get the help he so desperately needs and turns his life back around. No one deserves to go through this, especially if it’s a mental health issue.
