It’s well known that Kendrick Perkins is a man with a lot of confidence, regardless of how things end up for him. The 2008 NBA champion isn’t afraid of speaking out his mind, even if that makes getting huge backlash from NBA fans. He has done that while defending LeBron James, making the case for some players he considers should get more credit than they receive, but nothing gets better than when he tries to make the case for himself.
He was once again trying to do it during Game 2 of the Western Conference Finals between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Denver Nuggets. Perk, as usual, took to Twitter to wrote a very questionable opinion about himself and Prime Dwight Howard, the one that single-handedly took the Magic to the NBA Finals in 2009. Perk claimed he locked up prime Dwight, stating he had taught him well and that’s why he was locking up Nikola Jokic.

Of course, this didn’t sit well with fans, who instantly started to call him out and blast him for making such a big statement.

Perk has gotten used to making these types of claims and he seems to be pretty fine with it. The former NBA big man did have some good seasons but he often takes things out of proportion. Good things fans recalled the time Howard dunked on him with all he had.
The NBA community has no chill.
