Montrezl Harrell Roasted On Social Media After Complaining About Falcons Blowing A 20-Point Lead

2 Min Read

The NBA, just as life, can be ironic sometimes. Montrezl Harrell learned that the hard way after he decided to vent about the Atlanta Falcons once again losing a 20-point lead on Sunday afternoon. After being eliminated from playoff contention by the Denver Nuggets, Harrell has some time off and he’s spending it by watching the NFL at home.

The Atlanta Falcons started winning the game 20-0 after the Dallas Cowboys lost three fumbles and saw a fake punt try failed. At the end of the first half, they were winning 29-10 and everything seemed like they were going the first game of the season. They fell apart in the second half and the Cowboys ended up winning 40-39 thanks to a field goal in the last seconds.

Harrell took to Twitter to vent his frustration and fans were quick to let him know he had no right to talk or criticize other teams for losing big advantages.

In case you don’t know, the Clippers had a 3-1 lead against the Denver Nuggets entering the fifth game of their West semis series and after having 15+ point leads in Game 5 and Game 6, they collapsed, taking the series to a seventh game that the Nuggets would easily win.

That said, it’s not like Harrell is the right person to talk about other team’s inability to maintain a lead. The Falcons have suffered this more than once, being the most famous the Super Bowl LI, where they blew a 28-3 lead against the New England Patriots, who’d end up winning the game 34-28 in OT.

Maybe Harrell had to use a burner to vent his unhappiness. NBA fans don’t forget so easily and until the Clippers get past the second round of the playoffs, these jokes will continue.
