Kemba Walker On Facing The Miami Heat: “It’s Going To Be A Dog Fight. It’s Going To Be A War. I’m Looking Forward To It.”

The Boston Celtics and Miami Heat are going to take the hardwood by storm when they face off on a best-of-seven series in the Eastern Conference Finals.

Both teams have fought with bones and nails to pave their way to this instance. Boston knocked down the defending Champions in seven games, while the Miami Heat stunned the top-seeded Milwaukee Bucks with a Gentleman’s sweep.

Celtics and Heat thrive off their defense and physicality. They have enough depth to match up with their rivals and it feels like this series is going to be a tossup, or well, according to Kemba Walker, a ‘dog fight’.

“It’s going to be a dog fight. It’s going to be a war. I’m looking forward to it. We’ve just got to be locked in. We’ve got to do it all for a very long time, especially defensively. Those guys have so many different ways they can score the basketball.

We’re going to have to be really locked into their shooters, really locked into Jimmy, obviously Bam [Adebayo], who’s just a different kind of big who can do pretty much everything. So, we’re versatile, but so are they. We’re just going to have to figure ways out to get stops consistently,” Walker said, as quoted by Tim Reynolds of the Associated Press.

Kemba wasn’t as sharp as usual during the series with the Raptors. He struggled with his shot but at least found the way to make an impact with his playmaking. Now, he’ll embrace quite a tough challenge by trying to get past Erik Spoelstra’s bruising defense.

The Celtics will look to make it back to the NBA Finals for the first time in a decade, while the Miami Heat hasn’t made it to that stage since the LeBron James era at South Beach, so yeah, that’s going to be a dog fight for sure.
