Anthony Davis Leads The Los Angeles Lakers In PPG, RPG, SPG And BPG

The Los Angeles Lakers have had a terrific season this one, going from missing the playoffs last campaign to clinching the #1 seed in the Western Conference in a season with a lot of competition for the purple and gold.

Frank Vogel and his players have done a terrific job, even when they lost key pieces, they have demonstrated they’re ready to go against anything to win the NBA title.

All the good results they’ve achieved this season have led people to put LeBron James as an MVP candidate, becoming a threat for Milwaukee Bucks’ Giannis Antetokounmpo in the eyes of many. Bron has done great, yes, especially considering his age and all the things he’s done in his 17th season in the NBA. However, when you take a look at the numbers, Bron’s star teammate Anthony Davis leads the Lakers in several stats.

As a matter of fact, the only thing LeBron has better numbers than AD right now is assists and we all know the reason behind that. As for the rest of the items, Davis leads his squad in points per game, rebounds per game, steals per game and blocks per game. AD is posting 26.5 PPG, 9.3 RPG, 1.5 SPG, and 2.3 BPG.

On the other hand, Bron is posting 25.3 PPG, 8.0 RPG, 10.3 APG, 1.2 SPG, and 0.5 BPG. As you can see, LeBron’s 10.3 assists per game beat the 3.2 Davis has right now. However, the rest of the categories are dominated by the Brow.

Yet, people say LeBron is the reason why the Lakers are having such a great season. Yes, he’s been extremely helpful for AD and his teammates, but if it wasn’t for the Brow, as we’ve seen in the bubble, the Lakers would have a different record.

AD isn’t asking for protagonism, but people should stop sleeping on him and credit the big man for the good job he’s done with the purple and gold.
