With all the madness going on in the world these days, basketball is the only escape for many fans. Sports typically have a way of uniting folk, if even for a moment, and unity is almost a rarity nowadays.
In one particular video, that has since made its rounds on the internet, it shows a touching moment between a citizen and an officer, who are playing a game of one on one. It looks like both parties are having fun, even as the officer “destroys” him on the play. The cop shows a surprising amount of skill.

The handles, the confidence, the shot — it’s a masterpiece. Whoever this cop is, he might be in the wrong profession.
But, on a more serious note, it’s important to understand that not all cops are the bad guys. Many of them are out there risking their lives to keep us safe. This guy certainly seems to have a connection to the community, and it’s just the thing we need to see right now in these crazy times.
