LeBron James was not the only player to shine a light on the Lakers’ lack of harmony. Anthony Davis spoke after the game, calling on the team to stay united and not let their current form cause a rift among them going forward.
“We can’t separate. We gotta stay together as a team, as a unit, and make sure that this doesn’t turn into something that we don’t want.”
Davis also accepted the blame for the poor performances from his end over the last two games. With his eight points (3-14 FG), seven rebounds, five assists, and one steal tonight, he certainly didn’t do his part to help the team.
James and the Lakers are expectedly frustrated with their performance against the Heat. But the man credited with bringing LeBron James to the Lakers, Magic Johnson, took to X to call out the team for their embarrassing performance and slam their lack of effort.
The Lakers must now try to put this loss in the rearview mirror and focus on the future. They face the Atlanta Hawks away from home on Saturday night at 7:30 PM EST. A win there could help them get their season back on the right track.
