Chris Broussard: “The Clippers Are Simply A Better Team. Kawhi Leonard Can Close Games.”

With the NBA return getting closer, many fans and experts have started to discuss and predict what is going to happen in the league when they resume action. One of the biggest stories before the suspension was the battle of Los Angeles between the Lakers and the Clippers. The first three duels between the Angelenos were very entertaining, with the Clippers winning the first two and the Lakers taking revenge in their third duel.

Now it’s unclear if we’ll see another duel between the Lakers and the Clips until the postseason when both teams will show what they’re made of and who wants to win the title the most. According to Chris Broussard, the Clips have the advantage over the Purple and Gold. He pointed out that Kawhi Leonard is the factor that will lift the Clippers over the Lakers in the postseason.

“The Clippers are simply a better team. Kawhi Leonard can close games. Paul George can hit big shots. They have the 4th best record in the league & they haven’t been healthy. … You haven’t even seen the best of the Clippers & you’re about to in the playoffs.”

They didn’t have their whole roster healthy for a big chunk of the season. When everybody returned, the Clippers were nearly unstoppable. Now that Kawhi Leonard and the rest of players got time to heal their injuries, be ready because these guys are set to take it all.

They ranked 2nd in the West before the NBA suspension, boasting a 44-20 record, only behind the Lakers. Everything points out we’ll see these teams clashing in the postseason, probably in the WCF, but it’s still early to say that. Still, Broussard is confident Leonard and co. can beat LeBron James and his Lakers on their way to the championship.
