Kobe Bryant’s farewell game’s towel was sold for over $30,000 in a recent auction. That towel became famous as Bryant wore it while he was giving his farewell speech at the Staples Center back in 2016, where he dropped 60 points on the Utah Jazz.
After the game was finished, he took the mic, delivered a heartfelt speech and said “Mamba Out,” which later would become an iconic phrase. He used the towel during that speech and one fan grabbed off his shoulders as Kobe was headed to the locker room. It was revealed that this fan sold the towel for $8,000 but now that number got destroyed.
TMZ reported Lakers superfan David Kohler bought the towel for $33,000, a piece that plenty of people would like to have at home. There are a lot of memories there, it is from Kobe’s last game so it would be hard for anybody to sell that towel in the future.
This is a great piece of memorabilia for any Lakers and Kobe fan.
The Lakers legend passed away last January 26 in a helicopter crash. He was accompanied by his daughter, Gianna, and seven other people.
