Alex Caruso Passes Curry, Westbrook, and Booker In 3rd Return of All-Star Votes

As part of the league’s initiate to engage and involve the fans, the NBA All-Star starters are selected solely based on fan votes.

It’s usually a great system that gets everyone involved. Of course, it does have its drawbacks.

In years past, fans have made it a sort of running joke to vote in players that would otherwise have no business being an All-Star. This year is no different. In the third return of votes (the last count before they get finalized next week), Alex Caruso was revealed to be the 4th place among Western guards — surpassing notables like Steph Curry, Russell Westbrook, Donovan Mitchell, and Devin Booker.

Tacko Fall also made the list in the East, ranking sixth in frontcourt votes.

Caruso and Fall are beloved by the fans, the media, and their respective teams. Their humble and passionate approach towards the game has made them famous in their own little way.

And while it is unlikely that they will actually get voted to start in the game this February, the latest returns show just how loved they really are.

LeBron James, Luka Doncic, and James Harden lead in the West while Trae, Giannis, Siakam, and Embiid lead in the East. The polls officially end on Monday.
