Here are the Most Important Rumors Right Now.

Kevin Garnett Takes A Shot At LeBron James

Kevin Garnett had some things to say about LeBron James in an interview he did with The Ringer.

“We broke LeBron. So get your a** out of here with that.”

— Ringer Podcast Network (@ringerpodcasts) December 18, 2019

In the interview, Garnett stated that the Celtics “broke” LeBron in 2010 and said “We didn’t give a f*ck about LeBron. We didn’t fear LeBron and we didn’t think he can beat all five of us.”

The other 4 players that KG is referring to are Ray Allen, Paul Pierce, Rajon Rondo, and Kendrick Perkins. KG’s comments on LeBron are pretty ironic as he accepted a trade to the Celtics in 2007 because he was not able to knock off the top teams in the West. Also, this big-4 in Boston was only able to win one championship together and LeBron went on to win two of his own in Miami.

Lakers And Bucks Could Trade For J.J. Redick

The Milwaukee Bucks and the Los Angeles Lakers are two of the best teams in the NBA. Both of these teams are in the market for veteran players as they look to get a leg up on the opposition. A name that has been thrown around is J.J. Redick. Redick is a sniper from three as he is a career 41.5% shooter from beyond the arc.

For the Bucks, this move would surround Giannis with more shooting. For the Lakers, this move gives you a potential third-option and would improve a bench that is 20th in the league in bench scoring. According to Zach Lowe, Milwaukee will look at Redick as well as Robert Covington as they look to add depth at the wing position.

For the Lakers, Redick would be the perfect acquisition. With Redick’s desire to play for a contending team, the Lakers should use this opportunity to acquire an amazing shooter.

Looking at these two teams, the Bucks have a better chance at landing Redick because they have more assets and draft capital then the Lakers do. Also, after a hectic offseason between the Pelicans and Lakers, the Pels may be hesitant to make another trade with them.

Mavericks Look To Acquire Andre Drummond Or Montrezl Harrell

(via Fadeaway World)

The Dallas Mavericks have been one of the most surprising teams in the NBA. After a conservative off-season, many expected the Mavericks to be a team that may sneak into the playoffs, but they are currently the 4th seed in the Western Conference with an 18-9 record. This jump in performance is due in part to the crazy jump that Luka Doncic has made in his second season. So far this year, Luka is averaging 29.3 points, 9.6 rebounds, and 8.9 assists. If this team wants to go far in the playoffs, they must look to acquire another all-star.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski, he stated that the Mavericks are looking for “a big physical presence to put beside Porzingis” and names Andre Drummond and Montrezl Harrell as potential targets.

Adding one of those players would bolster the Mavericks and could potentially turn them into contenders. The question is if they can make a trade happen and that seems unlikely due to their lack of assets.

LeBron James On Dwight Howard’s Perfect Game

(via Fadeaway World)

Dwight Howard has rejuvenated his career and changed the stigma centered around him this season. This past Tuesday, Dwight Howard had his best game of the season as he went for 20 points, 6 rebounds, and 2 blocks on a perfect 10/10 shooting. When asked about this performance, LeBron responded:

“No, I’ve seen Dwight be special before where he averaged 35 points, 17 rebounds, and 5 blocks in the Eastern Conference Finals vs. my Cavs.”

LeBron is referring to the 2009 Eastern Conference Finals where Dwight and the Orlando Magic defeated LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers in six games. Defeating LeBron was a huge accomplishment in Dwight’s career as this was the only time he has made the Finals in his career and defeated a Cavs team that had won 61 games and LeBron was the MVP that season.

Howard is not the same player that he once was about a decade ago but, this game brought back memories of what he once was and will hopefully be a confidence booster for him.

Anthony Davis Is Not Ready To Commit To The Lakers

Anthony Davis and the Los Angeles Lakers have had a fantastic year so far in their quest to capture an NBA championship. Despite this, Anthony Davis is not ready to commit to the Los Angeles Lakers just yet.

In a recent interview with ESPN, Anthony Davis stated: “I still look at it as we’ll see what happens at the end of the season.” This is the perfect response to the question as this lets AD keep his options open. We just saw a player like Kyrie Irving get bashed for stating that he will re-sign with the Boston Celtics and then opting to sign with the Brooklyn Nets in free agency.

If I had to guess, I believe that Davis will re-sign with the Lakers this year and that he does not want to think about an extension until the offseason. This should let the Lakers know that AD is locked in on this season and will give his all to win a championship this year.

5 Realistic Targets For The Los Angeles Lakers Right Now

Fadeaway World

The Los Angeles Lakers are off to their best start since the 1985-86 season and will more than likely be playing basketball in June. With LeBron James and Anthony Davis leading the way, this team is looking nearly unstoppable but, there are some issues they should look to address.

In this article, we wrote about players that the Lakers should target in Patty Mills, Dennis Schroder, Marcus Morris, Davis Bertans, and J.J. Redick. These players would drastically improve the bench of the Lakers which is bottom-10 in the league when it comes to points per game.

Also, Davis Bertans and Marcus Morris would be amazing stretch-fours to solidify that frontcourt alongside Anthony Davis. J.J. Redick and Dennis Schroder would give the Lakers a third-option while Patty Mills would be a great facilitator off the bench for them.

Trading for these players would be tough because of the Lakers’ lack of assets and draft capital but, if they are somehow able to land one of these players, that would drastically increase their chances of winning a championship.
