The Perfect Plan Of The Sacramento Kings: Young Talents And Jimmy Butler

The Sacramento Kings just finished arguably their best season of the decade, and their future looks quite bright for the first time in a very long time. Still, they managed to shoot themselves in the foot by firing coach Dave Joerger.

Either way, this team is poised to do great things and Luke Walton may be a great fit for this roster, especially considering how many young players they have right now. However, they still need a proven veteran that could help them carry the load.

That’s why they desperately need to make the most out of this upcoming free agency, as they just can’t afford to go empty-handed with so many talented hoopers available to sign a new deal in the summer.

As a matter of fact, the Kings should be quite aggressive in their pursuit for one guy in particular, and that’s Jimmy Butler, who’ll likely leave the Philadelphia 76ers if they don’t make it to the NBA Finals.

Butler has thrived thus far under Brett Brown’s tutelage, but there are a lot of concerns regarding the odd fit next to Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid, as well as their different personalities.

Sacramento, on the other hand, could be a perfect place for Jimmy Buckets, as even though they’re young like the Minnesota Timberwolves, they’ve actually shown the will to compete and don’t back down from any challenge.

The Kings have enough money and cap space to offer Butler a max deal, so they can’t lowball him and try to convince him to take less than that if they want to convince him to join their promising process.

Butler would join De’Aaron Fox, Buddy Hield, Harrison Barnes and Marvin Bagley and allow the Kings to go small with Bogdan Bogdanovic, and Willie Cauley-Stein coming off the bench, and they’ll have a decent roster to make a playoff push in no time.

Still, Butler is also going to be pursuit by the Lakers, Clippers, Nets, Sixers, and Knicks, so they’re going to have it quite tough to pull this off in the summer. Hopefully, they’ll be able to convince him.
