For former NBA basketballer Michael Ruffin, his blunder may just top the list.

While mistakenly thinking he and his team had sealed the game, Ruffin threw the ball in celebration, turning it over to the other team. Of course, the Rockets capitalized on the error and scored, effectively stealing the game away, and making this ridiculous carelessness into the NBA’s Hall of shame.

Goes back to the old lesson: never celebrate too early.
