The Master Plan Of The Brooklyn Nets: The Super Team 2019

The Brooklyn Nets haven’t been able to find any kind of success ever since moving from New Jersey, even though they have definitely made a lot of bold moves in order to get top-tier talents on board.

Following the horrible trade with the Boston Celtics and proving how bad that went, the team tried to pair some young studs with D’Angelo Russell and Jahlil Okafor, although the ladder wasn’t able to contribute at all.

With them trading for Jah, it seemed like they were keen to just try to take things slow and let the young ballers grow through their mistakes, but according to several reports, they’re ready and willing to risk it all again in order to make a run for a couple All-Stars.

And now that they got rid of Timofey Mozgov and plan to buyout Dwight Howard, they can afford a couple of max contracts and will reportedly go full steam to make 2 great signings in the 2019 summer.

For that to happen, they would have to get rid of Allen Crabbe’s horrible contract, although finding any takers for him and his 18+ million dollars deal is going to be quite tricky, to say the least.

As a matter of fact, they could even try and trade D’Angelo Russell and tank their way through the 2018 season in order to get the top pick of the Draft, as they’re finally done sending picks to the Boston Celtics.

With that kind of cap space and a young franchise player to build around, the Nets would be on a prime position to target Jimmy Butler, Klay Thompson and even Kyrie Irving, all of them set to be free agents in 2019.

This kind of squad could easily dominate the East, featuring one of the best scorers in the world, and two of the best two-way players in the league as well. Also, Brooklyn being such a basketball town, bringing 3 young All-Stars would create a major marketing revolution as well.

It’s still pretty early to wonder what they will or will not do, but if this winds up happening, they might as well be good enough to finally make it to the Finals and even challenge the Golden State Warriors.
