The entire Gordon family has been dealing with this tragedy, but Aaron Gordon wanted to show the world the love he has for his late brother, and that he will remember him forever.

Drew Gordon, much like his younger brother Aaron, was a basketball player. He had brief stints in the NBA with teams like the Nets and the 76ers, but found much of his playing success in Europe, especially while playing in France and Latvia. Aaron was inspired by his brother’s pursuit of professional basketball and followed in his footsteps.

Aaron Gordon was able to find more success in the NBA compared to his brother, becoming a lottery pick in the 2014 NBA Draft, and playing for the Magic for seven years. He was then traded to the Nuggets in 2021, where he became a key part of the starting lineup, and even helped them win the 2023 NBA championship.

The next few months will undoubtedly be difficult for Aaron Gordon and the rest of his family, as they try to emotionally recover from such a devastating loss. Drew would have played a mentor role for his younger brother, and his absence in his life would be a difficult loss to get accustomed to, for Aaron.

Gordon will have the chance to focus on himself and his family for the time being, and that should and will be his priority. For now, basketball understandably takes a back seat.

Aaron Gordon Will Continue To Honor His Brother

Looking at his lengthy career, it was clear that Drew Gordon loved the sport of basketball. He played basketball in the NBA and Europe, until last year, when he retired from the sport. And no doubt, he would have been so proud of his brother, watching Aaron find championship success in the NBA last year.

For Aaron Gordon, the next season will probably be the toughest of his career. Dealing with a loss as massive as this is definitely not easy. He will have to rely on his family and close friends throughout the year to cope with the grief that comes with his brother’s passing.

But if he can play at the highest level and show respect to the game both he and his brother love, Gordon can show respect to the memory of his brother for as long as he likes.

One of the best ways that Aaron Gordon can continue to pay tribute to his brother is by playing basketball at the highest level. The love of the game that Drew had will be carried on by Aaron, as he continues his career and hopes to vie for more championship success in the league. Once again, we here at Fadeaway World would like to extend our condolences to the Gordon family and ask fans to respect their privacy through this difficult time.
