In a segment on ‘The’Draymond Green Show,’ the longtime Warriors veteran ripped Anthony Davis for his recent comments towards Darvin Ham. Green says he was disappointed in Davis for throwing his coach, a “former player and black man,” under the bus.

“I was very disappointed in AD’s statement after the game,” said Green. “When he came out in Game 2 and said, ‘Sometimes we don’t know what we’re doing….’ I was disappointed in that. The reason I was disappointed in that is that, number one, Darvin Ham was a player, Darvin Ham was a black man, and to just throw him under the bus like that I didn’t like. I didn’t appreciate it, I didn’t respect it.”

Of course, Draymond Green is hardly someone who should be talking about disrespect. This season, he had to be suspended from the league for his out-of-control behavior, which included taking a swing at the competition. Draymond has been a complete mess for years now but it still didn’t stop him from going at Davis here and trying to explain why he doesn’t approve of his latest statement.

The Lakers big man was visibly frustrated after Game 2 and decided to publicly call out his coach to the media by admitting the Lakers have no clue what they’re doing at times. Darvin blamed the outburst on frustration from Davis, but many fans and experts can’t shake the feeling that there was a hint of truth in the words.

Despite leading in all three games in the series, the Lakers couldn’t execute down the stretch and they had no answer to Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray, who were cooking in the second half to put the Lakers away once and for all. At a glance, Los Angeles just seemed ill-prepared to go toe-to-toe against the defending champions and Davis isn’t the only one to vocalize that sentiment.

With many fans and media members calling for change in the locker room, something will have to give for the Lakers this summer and it’s clear that the future of Darvin Ham will be among the biggest decisions they make this offseason.

Turmoil In The Locker Room

It’s never an easy experience to get swept from the post-season. For a franchise like the Lakers, who are accustomed to long playoff runs, it’s borderline embarrassing to be in this position for the second straight year with two of the best frontcourt players in the world.

Despite coming into the series healthy and fresh, the Lakers have been outmatched at every turn and even getting a single win against the Nuggets seems to be an impossible task for this team. As losers of 11 straight in this matchup (and counting), the odds are not looking good that they will break the streak anytime soon.

With no answers on how to stop the bleeding, Anthony Davis had nowhere else to look but his own head coach and he couldn’t hold back when he saw what happened on Monday when they gave up a 20+ point lead to Denver. On the verge of getting swept for the second straight year, it’s a bitter pill for Davis to swallow, and he wants answers on how to keep up with this basketball juggernaut. Unfortunately for the All-NBA big man, it’s already too late to salvage this campaign and there may be nothing they can do to turn the situation around anytime soon.
