Safe to say fans weren’t all that happy that Davis put out something like this, as they were critical of him.

One said Davis should have kept this private, “Bro come on, keep that s*** private, real talk.”

A fan stated they would be unfollowing Davis, “I’m unfollowing you because of this post.”

One thought this was quite embarrassing, “Embarrassing as f***”

A fan said Kobe Bryant and LeBron James would never do something like this, “Kobe or LeBron would never.”

I don’t think there is anything wrong with doing that job, but it certainly would be frowned upon by a fair few. Davis would have opened himself up to criticism had he just said that, but the pictures just made it a bit worse. He should have known better.

With all that backlash coming his way, Davis felt the need to defend himself. The 38-year-old shared a story on Instagram where he explained why he wanted to try it.

“Listen, everybody got so mad about my porn,” Davis said. “That was just an experience in my life and I just posted it. Right? As basketball players, we’re kind of low-key porn stars. So, I just wanted to see, I didn’t f*** those girls. I just was watching and admiring and getting good shots. C’mon bro. I love film, I love production and I wanted to try it out so I have that experience. I know how to shoot porn.”

It sure was quite interesting that he said basketball players are low-key porn stars. Whatever that means, Davis clearly doesn’t believe there was anything wrong with him putting out that post.

Glen Davis’ NBA Career And Net Worth

After a solid college career at LSU, Davis was selected with the 35th pick of the 2007 NBA Draft by the Seattle SuperSonics. His draft rights would be traded to the Boston Celtics soon after, so Davis began his career in Boston.

Success came immediately, as the Celtics won the NBA championship in his very first season by beating the Los Angeles Lakers in the 2008 NBA Finals. Davis played a very small role off the bench as a rookie but did get more playing time as the years went by.

He made another appearance in the NBA Finals in 2010, but this time the Lakers got the better of the Celtics. A year later, Davis joined the Orlando Magic via a sign-and-trade. He would get a bigger role there but in February 2014, the two sides agreed to a contract buyout, after which he signed with the Los Angeles Clippers.

Davis would spend a season and a half with the Clippers but his 2014-15 campaign with them proved to be his last in the NBA. They let him leave as a free agent and he never got another chance in the league.

Davis ended up with career averages of 8.0 points, 4.4 rebounds, 0.9 assists, 0.7 steals, and 0.3 blocks per game. He spent eight seasons in total in the league and earned about $33.2 million in salaries. Despite landing himself in some legal trouble recently, Davis reportedly still has a net worth of around $10 million.
