James Harden, a key player for the Los Angeles Clippers, has fired back at critics following the team’s impressive turnaround since their 0-5 start after the big trade. After defeating the Phoenix Suns and extending their winning streak to four games, Harden expressed his frustration with those who had been quick to criticize the team during their early struggles.

“Obviously it didn’t start off well. It gave people so much to talk about in a negative way. And now those people that were talking, they’re nowhere to be found. Like literally nowhere to be found.”

Harden pointed out in his post-game remarks the inconsistency of critics who, in the wake of the Clippers’ success, have suddenly fallen silent.

The Clippers, now boasting an 18-5 record since the rocky start to the Harden era, have emerged as a dominant force in the league. While acknowledging that the ultimate test for the team lies in the postseason, Harden emphasized that the critics had prematurely written off the Clippers after just five regular-season games.

The Clippers’ recent victories have showcased their offensive firepower, with contributions from stars like Kawhi Leonard, Paul George, and Harden himself. The team currently holds a 21-12 record, securing the fourth spot in the Western Conference.

Harden’s comments reflect his frustration with the negativity surrounding the team’s initial struggles and the subsequent silence of those who doubted the Clippers’ potential. As the Clippers continue to find their rhythm, the focus now shifts to maintaining their momentum and proving themselves in the upcoming postseason. The Clippers’ recent success, coupled with Harden’s stellar performances, signals a positive trajectory for the team as they navigate the challenges of the NBA season.

The Clippers Are Cooking Right Now

The Los Angeles Clippers have undergone a remarkable transformation since the arrival of James Harden, turning the initial skepticism and mockery surrounding the trade into a distant memory. After a rough start of 0-5, with critics branding Harden as a franchise killer, the Clippers have emerged as a force to be reckoned with in the NBA.

Since securing their first win in the James Harden era, the Clippers have showcased their offensive prowess, ranking 5th in the league in offensive rating with 121.3. Their defensive rating has also seen improvement, standing at 114.8, placing them 13th in the league. With an impressive net rating of 6.5, the Clippers have surged to 4th place in the Western Conference with a record of 18-5, climbing from the play-in spots.

Harden’s contributions have been instrumental, averaging 17.7 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 8.1 assists while shooting efficiently from both the field and beyond the arc. The tandem of Kawhi Leonard and Paul George, enjoying an extended period of good health, has added to the team’s lethal offensive capabilities. Additionally, Russell Westbrook’s acceptance of his bench role has further strengthened the team’s dynamic.

As the Clippers continue to dominate, they are emerging as a formidable threat to other top contenders in the Western Conference. While teams like the Timberwolves and Thunder may boast better records, the Clippers’ roster, loaded with veteran superstars, brings invaluable playoff experience, making them a serious contender for the postseason.

The Clippers’ resurgence has undoubtedly put the entire league on high alert, signaling their potential to challenge and disrupt the hierarchy in the Western Conference.
